Job: Stage Manager

These are some of my favorite pages in my calling script, with underlining lines in different colors being a unique feature. This show has a stage manager who guides the show, and we decided to cast three stage managers and split up the lines. In rehearsal, I would underline each stage manager's words with the color I assigned them (Pink, Yellow, or blue). You will also see the light, sound, and run cues, along with blocking notes I took.

This is the contact sheet that I make for every show I do. I use the audition form and sort through all the information I need for each person. I always include the students' phone numbers in case I need to reach them if they are not at rehearsal and do not have a conflict so I can get them to the rehearsal ASAP. I get the parents' email for my director so he can email the parents about essential events they should know about. Lastly, I include the parent's phone numbers in case of any emergency.

I had the technical manager take these design notes at a production meeting, during which I described what locations we must represent in the "Our Town" world. The objects written down would represent locations, and they would hang at different levels behind the scrim and light up when they entered that location.
